Read Genesis 37:1-24. what kind of behaviors do Joseph’s brothers engage in and how do these behaviors fan sibling jealousy into a murderous plot. In what kinds of situations do you find yourself engaging in the same behavior?
Read Psalm 73:21-22. How does this text help us understand why Jesus so forcefully responded to the question from the upset sibling with the command watch out!
Read Luke 12:15 and Matthew 7:1-5. What is Jesus telling us to do when we see someone else sin? Does Jesus forbid us to challenge others? Under what circumstances should we go to a brother or sister in Christ and confront them?
