As you know Love inc has been a social ministry of local churches for many years and the people of Peace have been blessed to be a part of this ministry to the poor. Here are some recent developments:
- The Women’s Mid-Day Gathering are continuing their Hat and Glove drive until Sunday, November 16th. Please participate – you can find out the details of this outreach effort HERE.
- This year we have adopted three families with a total of fifteen people for the Adopt-A-Family Christmas program. Lets give a shout out to the people of St. Mary’s who adopted 180 families!!!!! There are still 200 families that need adoption so if your family wants to do more than contact me or go to Love Inc and they will set you up.
- Last month the Love Inc Family Cupboard Food Pantry served 405 families(!!!) or approximately 1700 people. In 2007 the food pantry served an average of 330 families a month. Remember that the families that use the pantry must demonstrate that they meet minimal state guidelines for low incomes status. We are seeing double digit increases every month for the last couple of months. Please donate food on a regular basis.
