Seven members from Peace Lutheran joined over 600 Christians from around the midwest in a retreat this weekend in the Wisconsin Dells. The theme was do.love.walk based on Micah 6:8 – He has shown you what is good, and what does the Lord require of you but to DO justly, to LOVE mercy, and to WALK humbly with your God.
We enjoyed concerts by 100 White Flags and Captive Free, and were inspired by conversations each morning and evening with our featured speakers Danielle Tietjen and Henry Graf.
The youth participated in a variety of workshops on Saturday, including how they can serve in our community, becoming a soldier for Christ, and praising the Lord through hip-hop!
We enjoyed some group bonding time through meal times together and games, and of course the waterparks! Participants were Taylor H, Christine R, Marc A, Jason B, Eric L, Emily S, and Amelie W, accompanied by Rhonda Anderson, Toni Rowntree, Karen Smith and Rachel Bennett.
