Back to basics – Please feel free to donate some canned meat products (Spam, ham, beef stew, tuna, chili, hash), canned pasta with meat, cans of soup with chicken or beef, cans of fruit, and fruit juice.

Want to donate something not on the list?  Please bring whatever items you can.  Remember you can never give too much.  Make sure to check the expiration dates – items must not be past the expiration date.  All items collected through Sunday, August 1 will be taken to Love, Inc. food pantry one day during that week.

Women of ELCA News & Information

Women’s Retreat Weekend at Pine Lake Camp in Waupaca WI will be held August 21-22, 2010.  A second retreat is scheduled for September 17-19, 2010.

Twenty-third Annual Southeast Wisconsin WELCA Convention will be held Friday and Saturday, October 1-2, 2010 at Atonement Lutheran Church, Muskego, WI,  Theme is Fill My Cup Lord. Early bird registration due August 9; registration deadline is August 31.

Eighth Triennial Convention & Gathering will be July 12-14, 2011 in Spokane, Washington.  Theme is Renew, Respond, Rejoice

Lutherdale Fest/Quilt Auction

The 24th Annual Lutherdale Fest/Quilt Auction is scheduled for Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Community Blood Drive

The next Burlington Community Blood Drive is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24, 2010, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Veterans Terrace on Milwaukee Avenue.  Please contact the Blood Center of Wisconsin at 1-877-232-4376 for appointment and information.  Appointments are encouraged.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Donate here to keep our local community blood supply at a safe level.  Please bring a photo ID at the time of donation.
