Inspiring congregations to work with secular communities
to bring spiritual support and safety to those experiencing family violence.

A program on faith and family violence. We fool ourselves if we think that family violence does not impact those we worship with in our congregations. Even if violence is not in someone’s home, it may be in a home of a loved one, close friend or someone a child knows, plays with or dates. In fact, most of us know someone who is living with violence even though we may not know it. It is a powerful secret where those living with it know they are not to tell anyone. It is up to us to make a difference. The challenge is how. How can we respond, what are we able to do and what is not helpful.

Please plan making a difference for those who live with violence and those who care for those suffering from violence. This workshop is hosted by The Western Racine County Women’s Resource Center, with support from Sojourner’s Truth House in Milwaukee, St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, and Love., Inc.

The workshop includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

Please reserve your space by Monday, March 31st.
